Edit part

Note: If you edit a part that appears on any un-posted orders, the part information on the un-posted orders does not change, unless you manually change it on the order. Editing part information does not affect cashiered and posted orders or service history.

To edit parts in the database:

1. From the Inventory shortcut bar, select Parts.

Result: A list of parts displays. The list is blank if you have not entered any parts.

2. Click Edit.

Result: An Edit Part window displays.

3. Type your changes directly in the Parts list fields.

4. Click Submit.

Note:

• If you edit a part that appears on any un-posted orders, the part information on the un-posted orders does not change, unless you manually change it on the order.

• If you edit a part that is assigned to a shop job, you are prompted to update the part’s pricing on Shop Jobs.

• Editing part information does not affect cashiered and posted orders or service history.
