MARKET Data Export

When using the MANAGESM software, to manage your shop, you collect customer and vehicle information that is useful for scheduling and marketing service and repair orders. To use this information with the MARKET web site you will need to export your customer and vehicle information to the web site.

Note: If you experience difficulties with this utility, please contact Customer Support.

To export the customer and vehicle information file:

  1. From the File menu, select Export….

  2. Select MARKET Data Export.

Result: A welcome page displays.

Note: If you receive the message "MARKET ID: Not configured in MANAGE SM Company Setup", enter a MARKET Shop ID number on the Setup tab of the Company Setup window.

  1. Click Continue to begin.

Result: The Step 1: MANAGE SM Data Export dialog box is displayed.

  1. Click Yes to start sending the customer and vehicle data to a file named CustomerData.xml.

Note: In MANAGE SM the data file is stored on your c: drive, in a directory that depends on the version of MANAGE being used. The CustomerData.xml file is created or automatically overwritten (if it exists) in the appropriate directory.

Result: The Step 2: Login to MARKET dialog box is displayed. dialog box is displayed.

  1. Login to the MARKET site by entering your username and password and clicking Continue.

Note: If you do not know your username and password contact Customer Support.

Result: The Step 3: Upload file to MARKET dialog box is displayed.

  1. Use the Browse button to navigate to the appropriate directory and choose the CustomerData.xml file.

Result: The Choose File window displays.

  1. Click on the CustomerData.xml file.

Result: The filename is filled-in on the dialog box.

  1. Click Upload.

Result: The CustomerData.xml file starts uploading and the Step 3: Upload file to MARKET dialog box is updated to show the status: "File CustomerData.xml uploaded successfully".

  1. Click Close to close the MARKET Data Export utility.

  2. After the successful upload, wait for one minute before you access the MARKET web site (www.procarcarezone.com) to verify the uploaded customer information. Click here to see an example.
