New part

On the Parts list you can add parts using the Add Part window or from the Catalog Viewer.

Refer to Add Parts to the Parts List from the Catalog Viewer for information on adding parts to the list from the Catalog Viewer.

To add new parts to the Parts list:
  1. From the Inventory shortcut bar, select Parts.

Result: A list of parts displays. The list is blank if you have not entered any parts.

Note: The Part # or Description field pre-fills with information entered in the search criteria field on the Parts List.

  1. Click New.

Result: A New Part window displays.

  1. Enter or select the part information directly in the Part Information fields, Misc Inventory Flags, Vendors fields and Superseded Part Information fields.

  2. If you access this table from an order window, the Add to Parts List box displays allowing you to save the part information to the Parts List automatically.

  3. To select a superceded part, click Select in the Superseded Part Information section.

Result: The Part Selection window displays and allows you to select a part to be added to the superseding section.

  1. Click Submit.
