Price Matrix

The Price Matrix window allows you to setup markup rules for parts based on their source.

To access the Price Matrix window:

1. From the Setup menu or shortcut bar, select Company Setup.

2. Select the Tax/Markups tab.

3. From the Markup section of the Tax/Markups tab, click the Price Matrix Setup button.

Result: The Price Matrix Setup window displays.

4. Select the Part Source:

   Entry	Description	Parameter used for markup
   MANAGE Parts	parts added from user inputs to MANAGE SMSM	Based on the cost of the part as defined in the Parts list.
   OE Parts (OEM)	parts added from the ALLDATA Parts and Labor Guide	Based on the suggested list price of the part as defined in the ALLDATA Parts and Labor Guide.
   Activant Disc Aftermarket Parts	parts added from the Activant Aftermarket Parts catalog on Disc	Based on the suggested list price of the part as defined in the Activant catalog.
   WORLDPAC Parts	parts added from the WorldPac Catalog	Based on the cost of the part as defined in the WorldPac Catalog.
   AutoZone Parts	parts added from the AutoZone Parts catalog from Web	Based on the cost of the part as defined in the AutoZone Catalog.
   Autoi  Parts	parts added from the Autoi Parts catalog	Based on the cost of the part as defined in the Autoi catalog.
   Internet AutoParts	parts added from the Internet AutoParts catalog	Based on the cost of the part as defined in the Internet AutoParts catalog.
   WHI/NexPart Parts	parts added from the WHI/NexPart catalog	Based on the cost of the part as defined in the WHI/NexPart catalog.

    

5. If the Price Matrix feature is not enabled, only one range per part source can be configured. Update the range and click Save.

   • In the From Cost field, the next valid range lower limit is defaulted.

   • In the To Cost field, enter an upper limit for the range.

   • Enter a percentage value in the Markup % or the Profit Margin % field. Only one percentage can be entered for a range, if you try to enter a second percentage, the first percentage reverts to zero.

6. If the Price Matrix feature is enabled, update each Range in order.

   • In the From Cost field, the next valid range lower limit is defaulted.

   • In the To Cost field, enter an upper limit for the range.

   • Enter a percentage value in the Markup % or the Profit Margin % field. Only one percentage can be entered for a range, if you try to enter a second percentage, the first percentage reverts to zero.

Result: The Retail Price will reflect the markups to the part’s cost for the markup percentage or the profit margin percentage.

7. When the Price Matrix information is correct, click Save.

8. When you are finished updating and saving ranges, click Close to close the window.
